Meet Nicola Watson

Nicola obtained her Bachelor of Laws in 2018 from the University of South Africa. After graduating in April 2019, Nicola worked part-time and attended an after-hours, full-time compulsory course of practical legal training.

In 2020, Nicola commenced and completed her practical vocational training (articles). She wrote her board exams in February 2020 and passed all four board exams the first time around. 

Nicola was officially admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in April 2021.

Nicola has provided employment law advice to several local and international clients, particularly in the telecommunications, manufacturing, retail, logistics and mining sectors.  Nicola has appeared and represented clients in dispute resolution forums such as bargaining councils, the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), the Labour Court and the Labour Appeal Court. Her experience includes a wide range of employment matters, including collective bargaining, disciplinary hearings, internal investigations, representing clients at arbitration proceedings and trials and drafting of pleadings in the various matters in the CCMA, Bargaining Councils, Labour Court, Labour Appeal Court and Constitutional Court.
