In 2021 Ndiphiwe joined the firm's Public Risk, Governance and Compliance Practice. Prior to that, he was employed at Transnet SOC Limited in various positions within the Transnet Legal Department. From 2014 to 2020 he served as Group Executive: Legal and Compliance. His duties included amongst others, providing support to the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and the various Operating Divisions and Business Units within Transnet, giving a strategic direction on Legal, Risk, Compliance and Governance related matters. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing and management of the Transnet Legal functions, the Group Legal budget, internal and external stakeholders, implementation of the Company policies and strategy and effective management of the legal risks.
Ndiphiwe was admitted as an attorney in 1994 and practised as such in the Eastern Cape and Western Cape until 2008. Before leaving the practice to join Transnet, he was a Director at Smith Tabata Buchanan Boyes, Cape Town in their litigation department, having previously practised for his own account.
